Heaven
04:26
|
|||
If you shed tears in heaven
does it mean you’re still alive?
Will you still feel the anger
left behind by your failure to survive?
Now, you may be alone in the end
and the darkness will call again.
Is heaven just a state of mind
that your consciousness left behind?
If your sleep leads to dreaming,
the clowns will soon appear
to eat the flesh remaining
in the empty space that’s left there between your ears.
Now, you can’t tell what’s real or a dream
As you melt into Edvard’s Scream.
Is heaven a place in your head
to help you accept you are dead?
Now, you can’t tell beginning from end,
If it starts all over again.
Could hell be time’s final descent?
Without time, can there still be sin?
If you’re dreaming is seeming to take you
to places that you’ve never been to before,
How will you know if you’re dreaming or dead,
when in fact heaven’s opened its door?
If memory’s fading, your selfness degrading,
you can’t tell the start from the end.
If you’re ‘unstuck’ in time, like in Slaughter House 5,
it will start all over again…..Is that heaven?
If you shed tears in Heaven
does it mean you’re not alive?
Will your heart burn with anger
If you find out that you have yet to arrive?
Now, as the rain retreats back to the sky,
You suddenly understand why
the dead rise again to belie
the myth that was being alive…

Some Say I'm Wicked
04:38
|
|||
Don’t know where I’m going but I sure know where I’ve been
Some folks say I’m wicked and I’ve been accused of sin
History ain’t gonna change and I don’t need no more friends
try to hide
from wicked eyes
I have climbed the mountain I have stood inside the rain
Seen the world in darkness and I fought the rise of pain
It all seems so familiar here it come again
try to hide
from wicked eyes
you can’t hide
from second sight
What lurks inside
the souls of some
- saddens -
to the core
Thoughts exposed
of mind’s been closed
Eyes that see
will shut once more
What lurks inside
you cannot hide
try to hide
from wicked eyes

N.E.B. (Nebuchadnezzar)
03:37
|
|||
N.E.B. (Nebuchadnezzar)
In antiquity 597 BC, the Prince of Crowns laid it down.
He squashed the rebellion like a high-born hellion to rule every village and town.
Nebuchadnezzar had gotten much better at crushing anything in his way.
In a world nearly tribal, as described in the Bible, and argued about to this day.
I read things in the Book of Kings, the Chronicles, and Jeremiah.
You wanna rule the world? Well, it ain’t that simple after the destruction of Solomon’s Temple.
A twisted dream in the mind of a king, known only to himself and God.
The wise men try but cannot describe, so the king gives the guards ‘the nod’…
Then Daniel speaks of a statue that gleams with gold in the light of day,
In a dubious vision of hate and division, it falls upon its own feet of clay, and I say…
I read things in the Book of Kings, the Chronicles, and Jeremiah.
You wanna rule the world? Well, it ain’t that simple after the destruction of Solomon’s Temple.
Did you dream it? Did you see it?
Nebuchadnezzar.
Do you believe it? Can you feel it?
Nebuchadnezzar.
Do you want it? Can you stop it?
Nebuchadnezzar.
The King of Kings is going to take you down.

Boomer
04:17
|
|||
Settle down boomer, take it easy.
Tides are turning away from you…
Just stay down and don’t try to fight it,
Your dystopic dream is coming true…
There comes a time when it is right to admit your defeat.
The dish of old, served so cold, is a taste bittersweet.
Look around, you see the sound of the revolutions’s beat.
The fire alive in our eyes is as real as the street.
Stay down, take it easy.
Just lay down, you better believe me,
stop it now and leave discretely, throw in the towel or disappear completely.
Three hundred years of reigning tears, and all you do is brag.
Self assured intent so pure…
when your life’s in the bag.
When will you see? One world, not three
while your finger still wags
at a world that’s moving on, and upon which you drag.
Some sunny day, the life that matters won’t just be your own.
There comes a time when it is right to admit to the truth
The world you burned so you could earn’s gone the way of your youth.
Shades of skin, a world of sin, and
greed as some kind of virtue?
When the old ways are shattered we’ll all know what mattered to you.
Stay down, take it easy.
Just lay down, boomer believe me,
Another round, and you won’t make it.
So just lay down and hope we forget about you.
